5th edition of India Chem Gujarat 2017 to be held in Gandhinagar

The event to be held from September 21-22, 2017, aims to showcase the potential of the Indian chemicals sector and allied industry

A curtain raiser of ‘India Chem Gujarat 2017’, the 5th edition of the international exhibition and conference of the chemicals industry in India was presided over by Mansukh L Mandaviya, Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, Chemical & Fertilizers, Govt of India, in Mumbai in the presence of Samir Kumar Biswas, Joint Secretary, Chemicals, Dept of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt of India. The biennial event, will be jointly organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Department of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt of India, Govt of Gujarat, and iNDEXTb.

While speaking at the curtain raiser Mandaviya said, “Mandaviya added, “Make in India initiative will provide necessary support to companies for investment in the sector which is likely to grow by 9 per cent p.a. to reach $226 billion by 2020.”

With structured buyer-seller meet, 150 exhibitors and more than 7000 business visitors are expected to make their presence at the event. The endeavour is to bring out winning strategies for building and strengthening the awareness of emerging new application of specialty chemicals sector and allied industry and highlight the application technologies to enhance productivity.

The event will witness the presence of industry CEOs, engineers, technocrats and scientists; marketing heads, purchase heads, professionals and consultants; policy makers and foreign commercials corps; head R&D, regulatory affairs and quality managers; industry associations and international trade delegations; manufactures, entrepreneurs, owners, end users etc.
