AstraZeneca wins Corporate CSR Best Practices Award at NHRD National Conference

Is also a finalist in the HR Best Practices category for its focus on gender diversity

AstraZeneca Pharma India, leading bio-pharma company was announced the ‘Winner’ in the Corporate CSR Best Practices category at the 20th NHRD National Conference held on December 8-9, 2016 at the Royal Senate, Palace Grounds. The award was given in recognition for the company’s CSR initiative – The Young Health Programme (YHP), a community based initiative focused on primary prevention of non-communicable diseases in young people. AstraZeneca was also a finalist in the category of HR Best Practices for its focus on ‘gender diversity’.

The conference theme was titled ‘Spirit of Entrepreneurship’ and aimed to address the curiosity of young companies that wish to build the DNA of large organisations and the large ones who could learn from nimble young firms. The two-day event brought together international and national speakers of eminence, well-known HR leaders, CHROs, CXOs, entrepreneurs, academics, students and NGOs.
