Jawed Zia joins Abbott as VP, Established Pharmaceuticals, India

He will be responsible for Abbott’s continued growth and leadership in the country

Abbott has appointed Jawed Zia as VP, Established Pharmaceuticals, India. Reportedly, in this role, Zia will lead Abbott’s India pharma business. He will be responsible for Abbott’s continued growth and leadership in the country.

Zia joins Abbott from Novartis where he was the Pharma Division Head of Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Country President. Over the last 25 years of his career, Zia has been in various leadership roles with Novartis, working in its pharma and ophthalmic businesses, as well as being part of many integration projects. He has had the opportunity to work in several countries including Singapore, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
