DKSH opens two innovation centres

The centres have come up in Taiwan and Bangkok

DKSH, a market expansion services group with a focus on Asia, has commissioned two state-of-the-art innovation centres. One centre is established in Taiwan to focus on introducing new concepts and ingredients to the confectionary and bakery industry. The other in Bangkok will focus on developing innovative applications solutions for the coatings industry in South
East Asia.

The Taiwan centre has been opened to deepen the company’s sweet applications expertise, develop cutting-edge business ideas, and formulate concepts that create even better opportunities for its clients and customers. In line with the company’s strategy for growth, the new facility in Taipei will allow DKSH to work even closer with key partners in Taiwan to anticipate market trends and to offer concrete solutions for confectionary and bakery products with critical advantages for customers.

The centre in Bangkok will allow the company to further strengthen its South East Asia operations in this industry and to provide its customers value-added solutions and services for coating applications. Main functions of the centre outside of Bangkok are product evaluation, physical and chemical testing, as well as the training of customers and DKSH sales personnel. The innovation centre facilitates state-of-the-art lab equipment for paints and inks applications, applicators, dispersion machines, and advanced testing equipment, including climatic accelerates, corrosion, and humidity tests.

David Macdonald, General Manager Business Unit Performance Materials, DKSH Thailand said, “The objective is to put in place a great team of dedicated experts supported by a best-in-class high-tech innovation centre. This centre is also open to our key clients and customers, where we work and learn together, and ultimately generate solutions and businesses which are profitable for our business partners.”
