Dr Anand Bidarkar joins Ecron Acunova

Dr Anand Bidarkar has been appointed as Vice President of Business Development for the Ecron Acunova (EA) group. He will be accountable for orders, sales, marketing programmes, channel partner development in Asia, the UK and the US.
Bidarkar has experience in operations, business development, strategic partnerships and leading business units with multibillion dollar groups like Novartis, inVentiv and Apollo as well as with mid-sized firms like Sun Pharmaceuticals. Bidarkar’s global experience in developing clinical research, data management and other allied businesses is expected to provide a significant thrust to the regional and global growth initiatives at EA.
Prior to joining EA, Anand was working with SIRO Clinpharm as Vice President, Business Development responsible for Americas, and earlier for Asia Pacific and the UK. He was part of the senior management team that transformed the company in three years from a single country, service provider to a multinational, full service clinical research and clinical IT outsourcing firm. He spearheaded alliance formation with complimentary service providers and transformed the business model of the company from being dependent on single project – single country contracts to programme level and multinational deals.
In this role, he will report to Dr Surinder Kher, Chief Executive Officer, Asia and will leverage EA’s momentum in Europe and US working with CEO’s in Europe and the US.
