Dr Deven Parmar joins Karmic Lifesciences

Dr Deven V Parmar, has joined Karmic Lifesciences as Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director, Americas. He comes in with over eight years of academic experience and about 20 years of rich professional experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry.

Parmar has done his MD in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and is an MBBS from GMC College, Mumbai. His career includes stints with Wockhardt, Veeda Clinical Research, Glaxo SimthKline, Ranbaxy and Serdia Pharmaceuticals. His areas of expertise include clinical research, data management, medical writing and statistics, pharmacovigilance, regulatory and due diligence, licensing, business development and co-development. A key opinion leader, he has given over 50 guest lectures at a number of national and international conferences including DIA, IDMA and Drug Discovery conferences in Asia Pacific and the US. He has more than 50 scientific publications in various journals and has authored a number of chapters in textbooks on Medical Therapeutics. He is on the committee of the Indian Society of Clinical Research, IDMA, OPPI and FICCI, and on the Advisory Board of British Medical Journal.

Karmic Lifesciences Inc is delighted to have Dr Parmar head activities in US. Based out of New Jersey, his responsibilities would include handling all strategic, business and scientific activities for the US subsidiary.
