Injeti Srinivas has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority (NPPA).
An IAS officer from the 1983 Odisha cadre, Srinivas replaces CP Singh from the Tamil Nadu cadre whose tenure was extended for 10 days due to the formation of the new government at the centre.
Srinivas is an economics graduate and also holds an MBA degree. He was born on May 26, 1960 and started serving from 1983. During the Commonwealth Games he was Joint Secretary, Ministry of Sports and was responsible for issues related to accreditation.
