It is designed to help comply with USP 232/233 and ICH* Q3D guidelines for elemental impurities in pharma products

Shimadzu Corporation, Japan, has launched its new Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICPMS) 2030 in the Indian market, as part of its global launch of this product. Toshvin Analytical, the authorised distributor of Shimadzu Analytical instruments in India since 1970, organised series of product launch seminars in Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai from July 5-8, 2016, which were reportedly attended by over 450 customers. Nakul Toshniwal, Managing Director, Toshvin Analytical; Yoshiyuki Fujino, Managing Director, Shimadzu Analytical India and Tsuyoshi Tsuchibuchi, General Manager Spectroscopy, Shimadzu Japan were present at the event.

Reportedly, the new ICPMS-2030 is designed to meet the challenging analysis requirements in pharma, food, clinical and environmental applications, and particularly suited for complying with USP 232/233 and ICH* Q3D guidelines for elemental impurities in pharma products. The ICH Q3D specifies allowable limits of daily intake of 24 elements of toxicological concern, and requires high sensitive and high precision measurement of such elements.
