The US FDA has approved generic versions of the blood thinning drug Plavix (clopidogrel bisulfate). The companies which have received the approvals are Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Gate Pharmaceuticals, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, and Teva Pharmaceuticals for 300 mg clopidogrel. Apotex Corporation, Aurobindo Pharma, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Roxane Laboratories, Sun Pharma, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Torrent Pharmaceuticals for 75 mg clopidogrel.
DRL’s clopidogrel tablets USP, 75 mg are available in bottle count sizes of 30, 90 and 500 and clopidogrel tablets USP, 300 mg are available in blister packs of 30’s count.
