As the world’s largest market, the US has always attracted Indian companies and the lifesciences sector is no different. Among the destination states in the US, Georgia is positioning itself as a hub for the biosciences industry. According to the Metro Atlanta Chamber website, the state has more than 100,000 jobs in the bioscience industry with an annual economic impact of $23 billion.
But in an increasingly more competitive global landscape, biotech, pharma and healthcare firms face a delicate balance when expanding to new markets – they must closely manage costs while trying to speed up commercialisation of their new innovations. Cross-border collaborations have emerged as an effective approach for firms to expand their reach to markets throughout the world while managing costs and expediting their products to market.
Addressing some of these issues will be the top priority of a webinar to be held on September 26, 2012. Titled ‘Opportunities for Georgia-India Biotech, Pharma & Healthcare Collaboration’ the webinar will explore how Indian companies can leverage Metro Atlanta’s biotech/ pharmaceutical/ healthcare environment and collaborations with its local companies to enter the US market.
At the same time, the webinar will explore how US companies can leverage Indian incentives, programmes and collaborations with Indian firms to enter the Indian market. Express Pharma as the exclusive media partner will moderate a Q&A/ panel discussion after the presentations.
