Biocon has announced the appointment of Suresh Subramanian as Senior Vice President & Head of the company’s branded formulations (India) business.
Subramanian has over 30 years of experience in the pharma market, having worked in India and Thailand for MNCs such as GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, AstraZeneca and Pfizer. Over the years, he has played multiple leadership roles in business development, marketing, sales and strategy. He has experience in multiple product launches, business optimisation, cost control, talent development and performance management.
Subramanian has managed a wide portfolio spanning diverse therapy areas such as neurosciences, respiratory, cardiology, oncology, critical care, gastro-intestinal, ophthalmology, pain & inflammation and women’s health in the Indian market. He has also been a part of the Steering Committee for McKinsey’s India Pharma 2020 report.

Suresh Subramanian is a Physics graduate and has a Masters degree in Marketing Management from Mumbai University.
