Health 2.0 Mumbai Chapter holds its meeting
Health 2.0 a global entity, which provides a common platform to promote and harbour innovations and ideas for improving healthcare, recently held its meeting in Mumbai. The Mumbai chapter of Health 2.0 held discussions on novel health ideas and health innovations, patient-centered healthcare through the use of digital and social media and leveraging technology.
Organised by Dinesh Chindarkar, leader, Health 2.0 Mumbai Chapter, the event was attended by professionals from pharmaceutical, healthcare, IT and diagnostics. James Mathews, Chairman – Health 2.0 India, spoke about how Health 2.0 is evolving in the country and making difference in patient’s lives across India’s population from rich to the poor. Amrita Naimpally, Global Business Development Lead, Medtronics, mentioned that the main goal of healthcare is to empower patients and described in details about their Adivasi initiatives which they are conducting.
Ravi Desai, Chief Marketing Officer, Metropolis Lab, expressed the need of diagnostics to emerge as a strong pillar for healthcare in India. He proposed on thoughts on implementing preventive healthcare in India. This was followed by a panel discussion by delegates from across the healthcare industry. Salil Kallianpur from GSK, Dr Malpani, MD, HELP, Priti Mohile from Mediamedic Communications and Erin Little, Founder, Sucre Blue gave the audience a varied perspective on preventive healthcare and connected the varied dots within.
Shreekant Pawar, Co-Founder, Farasbee and Dr Yogesh Patil, Co-Founder, Biosense, demonstrated their start up product, Diabeto & uCheck respectively.
