Interlink Marketing Consultancy launches video-based training package for med reps

Interlink Marketing Consultancy, a business performance consultancy, has recently launched ‘INTERACT,’ a a video-based training package for medical representatives. It is a learning process which will help to update their medical and health knowledge to interact with the physicians, specialists, super specialists and also achieve the numbers through social and selling skills.

The launch was attended by Dr Ganesh Nayak, Executive Director, Zydus Cadila, who was the guest of honour at the launch. Others present were Parag Mahulikar (Research expert, IES MCRC, Mumbai); Ranga Iyer. Chairman—Sector Skill Working Group—CII [Confederation of Indian Industry] and Gaurang Mehta, Director —Media Matrix Communications, Mumbai.

Dr RB Smarta, Managing Director, Interlink Marketing Consultancy said, “A medical representative needs to be as much informed about the drugs as the person who invented it. In addition, he must have sales and marketing and relationship building skills and sharp acumen to identify and successfully convert business opportunities. In the last six decades in India, the professional medical representative has been the most integral part of the process and is needed to represent companies to the prescribers. Interlink is actively putting in efforts to restore the pride to the noble profession and professionals through innovative ways and means.”

Nayak said, “This new tool will again be a breakthrough in meeting the current needs of training managers. It takes care of the Indian environment and market dynamics and provides five different modules for achieving excellence in in-clinic performance which I am confident will enable the medical representatives to take pride in their profession with superior skills.”

The INTERACT package comes with a descriptive user guide, master CD with five interactive modules, facilitators’ manual for training managers, participants’ manual and participants’ tool kit. The package includes simulation of situations for major in-clinic skills such as probing, objection handling, closing skills, and assertiveness skills to maintain relations. It also has facility for interactive role plays, workshops, exercises and quizzes for participants to apply the skills and concepts, in context of their own products and also facility for video recording of role plays for critical analysis and constructive feedback, which can help medical representatives to sharpen their skills.
