Lupin appoints Christoph Funke as Chief Technical Operations Officer

Lupin has appointed Christoph Funke to the newly-created position of Chief Technical Operations Officer. Funke has over 30 years of global pharma manufacturing, supply chain, and technical operations experience. He will be based in Mumbai and will oversee Lupin’s Technical Operations function, integrating manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement.

Funke’s extensive career includes leadership roles at organisations such as Fresenius Kabi and Strides Pharma Science. He has managed large-scale technical operations and manufacturing networks across 27 sites in 19 countries, overseeing production value exceeding $2 billion and leading teams of over 12,500 employees. Funke holds an engineering degree from South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
