Multisorb Technologies to exhibit Calculations through Operations programme at CPhI Worldwide 2013 in Frankfurt
Multisorb Technologies will be exhibiting at CPhI Worldwide 2013 during October 22-24 in Frankfurt, Germany. Multisorb will be highlighting its well-received Calculations through Operations programme. The programme provides an optimised sorbent in the desired format (Drop-In, Fit-In or Built–In). When required the desired Drop-In sorbent is provided with its interdependent, corresponding sorbent dispensers, such as with the StripPax and StabilOx Systems. All Multisorb’s product and services are delivered with unsurpassed technical assistance and customer service.
The Calculations through Operations programme is unlike any other method of sorbent selection. Multisorb uses a very personalised approach to providing pharmaceutical companies with an unparalleled turnkey solution for promoting the stability of moisture and oxygen sensitive drugs. Its proprietary SimulSorb and SimulOx pseudo-empirical modeling software accurately determines the sorbent required to quickly resolve chemical and physical stability concerns, thereby providing for a more rapid Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or New Drug Application (NDA) filing. Based on the stability outcome and packaging considerations, an optimised sorbent solution is recommended with the flexibility to choose from Drop-In, Fit-In or Built-In sorbent solutions.
Drop-In sorbent formats include packets or canisters and are placed directly into the product packaging. Fit-in solutions do not intermingle directly with the pharma product but instead are conjoined with the packaging or pharma device, such as with self-adhesive sorbents or coated, compressed sorbents that fit securely into a cap or available space within a device. Built-In sorbents are thermoformed device components with sorbent incorporated into the material, providing invisible but highly effective sorbent protection.
As part of the Calculation through Operations programme, the StabilOx System and StripPax Systems will be featured. StabilOx Packets and Canisters resolve product instability issues related to oxygen degradation. This innovative product eliminates oxygen while maintaining the equilibrium relative humidity (ERH) in the package. This prevents cracking and leeching associated with over-drying, while at the same time preventing moisture-mediated degradation. The StabilOx System, comprised of StabilOx Packets or Canisters and corresponding StabilOx Dispenser, will ensure the integrity of your oxygen sensitive drug product.
CPhI Worldwide is the world’s leading pharma networking event. Co-located with ICSE, P-MEC and InnoPack, the event expects over 30,000 attendees from 140 countries and 2,200 exhibitors.
