Pfizer has announced its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2014. The revenue for the quarter was Rs 251.69 crores as compared to Rs 252.19 crores in the same period last year. The revenue for the year was Rs 1004.27 crores as compared to Rs 947.98 crores last year.
Excluding the transitional support for sales of certain animal health products, the pharmaceutical revenue for the quarter registered a growth of six per cent to Rs 251.69 crores as compared to Rs 237.24 crores in the same period last year. Similarly the revenue for the year registered a growth of five per cent to Rs 961.80 crores as compared to Rs 915.06 crores last year.
The profit before tax and exceptional items for the year grew by 21 per cent to Rs 339.58 crores from Rs 279.65 crores last year.
The earnings per share before exceptional items (net of tax) improved to Rs 74.01 per equity share for the year from RS 61.10 per equity share last year.
