The medicine stores would be opened under the ‘SRS Pharmacy’ brand
SRS Group, which is foraying into the pharmacy segment, plans to open around 300 drug stores over the next three to five years in the country.
SRS Health, the business vertical of SRS Group, plans to open around 25-30 outlets to start off with, in the next three to four months, in the Delhi-NCR region.
The medicine stores would be opened under the ‘SRS Pharmacy’ brand.
“We plan to open 25-30 odd stores in the next three to four months and test the waters. Our long-term goal is to open 100 stores each year for the next three years,” said Tinku Singh, President and Chief Strategy Officer, SRS Group.
The company would first establish its presence in the Delhi-NCR region, before opening stores in other parts of the country, he added.
When asked about the investment, Singh said on an average, 25 pharmacies would entail an outlay of around Rs 5-7 crore. “We have forayed into the sector actively to make an impact in the healthcare landscape of the country,” said Anil Jindal, Chairman, SRS Group.
The company is emphasising on delivering exclusive healthcare services along with quality controlled medicines and drugs, he added.
The Delhi-based group is already engaged in production of surgical equipments and consumables such as syringes, auto-disable syringes, hypodermic needles scalp vein sets, infusion sets, among others.
With a turnover of over Rs 6,000 crore, SRS Group has presence across various segments, including retail, real estate, hospitality and education, among others.
